The Man Who Swam The Amazon

In 2007, a 52 year old marathon swimmer called Martin Strel became the first person to swim the length of the Amazon. Over 66 days he churned through 3,300 miles of river, crossing national and psychological borders. Martin’s life could have been very different though, before marathon swimming he had a variety of jobs from brick-layer, garage mechanic, gambler and guitar teacher.
